About

MARÍA BRAVO (b.1998) is a Mexican designer / artist who works at the intersection of furniture, objects, and installation art.

Her practice combines craft and technology, developing projects focused on cultural research and emotional narratives. Today, she lives and works in Mexico City where she established her practice.

In 2017, she moved to Milan and began studying industrial design at Politecnico di Milano. While studying, she began her career working for Italian companies such as DesignWanted and Slide Design. In 2021, she obtained her Bachelor's Degree and was recruited by Cassina, where she worked as a stylist and visual merchandising specialist for nearly four years. María designed major installations including Salone del Mobile (2021 – 2024) under the guidance of Patricia Urquiola and Luca Fuso.

In 2024, she moved to London to pursue a Master's in Product Design at the Royal College of Art. Soon after, she presented her first product at Aram Gallery during London Design Festival and won her first award (Audience's Choice Award 2025) for her installation A "Feminine" Chair at the Mall Galleries in London.

María's work has been internationally recognized and published, and she has been invited to take part in jury panels for big data design awards. Today, she continues to produce research, furniture, objects and installations from her studio in Mexico City, developing her own approach to the international art and design scene.
